Is Cyborg in the Batman vs Superman Movie
Variety has just announced that the Teen Titans and current Justice League member Cyborg will be in the upcoming, yet unnamed "Batman Vs. Superman" film. He will be played by stage actor Ray Fisher, Fisher recently played Muhammad Ali in the play "Fetch Clay, Make Man". Adding a theater actor to the roster is a great idea. Stage actors tend to have a bold and outspoken way.
I am assuming that Ray Fisher will mostly be the alter ego of the Cyborg character; Vic Stone. If memory serves he was a collage football player whose scientist father was somewhat neglectful and an accident in the lad lead to the creation of Cyborg. One thing to remember is that Superman has a connection to S.T.A.R. Labs. If Cyborg acts as a bridge to Superman and a larger growing superhero world, it makes since.
I also imagine that this is a small role. But one that leads to multiple films as Warner Bros. aims to broaden their Superhero movies. We will probably introduced to his character in S.T.A.R. Labs because the plot leads either Clark or Superman and others there. We may also see it again as a fight breaks out or sabotage caused by Lex creates an accident which in turn creates Cyborg. If the recent animated movie Justice League War is any indication, we may see Darksied for a 3rd film.
As a side note: Cyborg was also played by the late Lee Thompson Young on Smallville.
The untitled Batman Vs. Superman film is slated to come out May 6, 2016...that date can not come soon enough. See you in the theater.
